ABOUT MAS WRESTLING
MAS Wrestling is an ancient sport. The modern version is brought to us from Yakutia (the far Northern region of Siberia in the Russian Republic of Sakha). Athletes sit in front of each other, prop their feet against the board that divides the competition arena, and pull on a short stick. An athlete wins the bout if he/she pulls the opponent over with the stick or pulls (snatches out) the stick from the opponent. The best two-of-three bouts win the match.

ABOUT ARM LIFTING
What is Armlifting? Along with other notables in the strongman world, Odd Haugen was big on the Rolling Thunder from day 1, and this led to the inaugural IronMind® Rolling Thunder World Championships in 2000. Rolling Thunder contests also flourished below the world championships level, and in 2010 Armlifting was born when a Russian arm-wrestling promoter asked IronMind for permission to organize grip contests featuring the Rolling Thunder, dubbing the competitions "Armlifting". So, Armlifting is the Russian name for grip contests that began with the Rolling Thunder and have since come to include such other grip world staples as the Apollon’s Axle Double Overhand Deadlift and the Saxon Bar Deadlift.
